WordPress allows you to store a set of external links known as blogroll. These links can be put into categories, imported, exported, added, deleted, and edited. The link categories can also be added, deleted, and edited. In this article I will describes you how to do all of the above, using the Links section of the WordPress Administration Panels.
Creating Links: To create a links in your website using WordPress follows the following step:
Step 1: Login to WordPress Admin Panel (Dashboard)
Step 2: Select Links menu option and click on ‘Add New’
Step 3: Fill all the information in appropriate field
Step 4: If you are ready to publish the links then click on ‘Add Link’ button.
Let’s see the brief description on ‘Creating Links’.
Open the WordPress login page and log in to WordPress Admin Panel (Dashboard)
After the successfully logged in WordPress Admin Panel, following window will be visible.
There are three sub menus in Links option; All Links, Add New and Link Categories. Let’s see the brief description on it.
All Links: This option displays the whole link created in your website.

Add New: It helps in creating new link into your website. To create a new link on your website click on ‘Add New’ option and fill all the required information.
After filling all appropriate information into text field, if you are ready to create it then clicks on ‘Add Link’ button. After successfully adding link into website following window will be visible.
Now Link is added successfully into your website.
Link Category: It helps in creating link category, with the help of which you can grouped many links in one category. Let’s see a demonstration on it.
For creating a new link category, first of all clicks on ‘Links Categories’ option and then fill all the appropriate information into the text field.
After filling appropriate information, if you are ready to add this link into your website then clicks on the ‘Add New Link Category’ button.
After the successful addition of link category it will be visible at the right section of the page.
Using Links:
For using links on your website page, first of all open the WordPress Admin Panel (Dashboard) ->Appearance->Widget
In the right section of the page there are four sections are available where you can add the ‘Links’ such as Main Sidebar, Showcase Sidebar, Footer Area One, Footer Area Two and Footer Area Three. Here I am choosing Footer Area Two.
For adding ‘Links’ in your website page or posts, simply drag the links and drop it into Footer Area Two section and click on ‘Save’ button.
Now open any page of website then at the end of page links will have visible.
