Problem in datetime formatting

I want to convert datetime (which is value :08/08/2001 ) into 2001/08/08 .But i can not find any appropriate solution in sql server
give the solution of this problem

SELECT CONVERT(VARCHAR(10),CONVERT(DATETIME,'21/02/1987',103),111)
