So what is an Unspecified Anxiety Disorder?

It is an anxiety disorder which is responsible for an individual’s inability to perform in social situations. The term anxiety here refers to the fact that the person has symptoms of several anxiety disorders thus it becomes difficult to give a specific label to it. Its causes are various environmental, mental and physical stress leading to chemical imbalances in the brain. No matter the cause, treatments are available to cure it completely.

What are the causes of Unspecified Anxiety Disorders?

  • Fear: Intense fear or phobia of certain aspects like height, water, darkness, evil spirits, etc. can lead to anxiety disorders. The phobia increases the mental stress thus resulting in abnormal behavior and frequent panic attacks.
  • Stress: Stress is a major factor behind any kind of mental disorder. It could be work stress, environmental stress, stress caused by physical activities and social media too. This stress creates pressure on our brain causing it to function inappropriately.
  • Depression: The depression could be a result of scoring low marks in an exam, not getting promoted in workplace, more struggle but negligible or less outputs, less income, detachment from someone, etc. These unfruitful situations too have a huge impact on our brain’s functioning.
