What are the Necessary Things-to-do Before you Start Preparing for NEET Exam?

Students who aspire to get into reputed Medical and Dental colleges across India take the national level medical entrance exam - NEET. Since it is a national level exam, one can expect fierce competition. In order to score well and be at the top among the vast number of students, it is necessary that you work hard and follow specific strategies that are recommended for competitive exams like NEET. Besides, there are many things you must do before you start preparing for NEET. In this article, we have listed them to help the students who are about to start their preparation. Before you even start your preparation, you must know the details of the exams. Building your conceptual knowledge is necessary as it is a national level entrance exam and you are required to know the subject in detail to tackle it.

Collect previous year question papers by your seniors or teachers. You must know the exam pattern to get a clear idea on the difficulty level you can expect in the exam. Do not refer to old papers. Start with the very recent ones - NEET 2019 Question Paper to keep yourself updated with the pattern. Have a collection of past ten-year paper to know the important and repeated questions.

Prepare a timetable for yourself considering the syllabus and the time left for the exam. Make sure that you do not study difficult topics one after the other as this may drain or demotivate you. Have a balance and ensure that you finish studying your syllabus soon so that you will have enough time to practice. Do not neglect your board exams as both the exams have the common syllabus.

Decide to be focused and dedicated. You will have days where you want to quit your preparation. National level exams are surely tough and so should your preparation be. Keep yourself motivated and be determined to achieve your goals. Do not be worried or stressed as this will not help you in your journey. Do not give up before you even try. You never know you could be the best performer if you prepare with all your might. Also, stay away from social media, Netflix and everything that kills your time. Every person has twenty-four hours in a day, how they spend it is what makes the difference. Hence, use your time wisely.

Finally, we would like to stay that you work hard towards your goal of scoring good marks in NEET. Make a plan and stick to it. Study for at least four hours a day and make sure you do not neglect your board exams. Avoid studying in the night as this will affect your health, which will indeed result in your productivity. Finally, remember that a good ranking will take you to the best college. Hence study well and give your best shot in the exam.
