5 Reasons Why Blogging Is Always A Better Alternative To 9-5 Job

Are you still on a 9-5 job, leaving for your office in the morning and returning tired after the whole day? Still your paychecks aren’t increasing as much as you would like?

I had to take the decision in the year 2009 when I first started my career online. After graduating, I started working for a company but doing the same kind of work every day with no creative growth was draining my energy. So, I left my job and started venturing out on my own.

Of course, being an employee has its own benefits – you’re entitled to perks, you have paid holidays, insurance benefits, Provident Funds etc. However, you miss out on many things as well.

Let me first tell you – blogging is not a business, it’s a way to propagate your business. Yes, you can make money blogging but that’s not the end.

If you’ve a business and want to reach out to lots of people, blogging can act as the perfect tool. You can educate the masses through blogging and thus grow your business.

So, here I’m going to tell you the benefits of having your own blogging business.

1. You’re the boss

When you’re working from your home, you’re your own boss. You can set your own rules, and act as and how you like.

You can set your own deadlines; take up work according to your choice; work at the price you wish to set and work as a team or individually.

2. Work on your time

The best benefit of working from home is that you can work at create your own schedule. You can work for two hours, take a break for an hour or half, work again.

For example, let’s take my case. I work for about 5 hours in the morning, take a short nap for about an hour in the noon and then work for around another 4 to 5 hours in the evening.

Say, you’re still working in an office and blogging only part time, what you can do is set up your time after returning from office to dedicate to blogging.

So, you can see the flexibility of the working hours. You can SET THE WORKING HOURS YOURSELF.

3. Double or Triple your paychecks

How many times have you spend working extra hours at office, putting extra effort to your work and expecting a raise in paycheck? Nonetheless, it doesn’t happen. You keep getting the same check month after month until you get a promotion after 2 to 3 years, which is also not a guarantee.

However, if you are blogging for money, there aren’t any fixed paychecks every month. The amount of productivity will depend on the amount of hard and smart work and effort you put into your blog.

Usually, once your blog is established, you’ll generally see an average income but for a month, the paycheck may increase from time to time if there’s an increase in the number of sales.

This is what I enjoy the most. Sky is the limit in any business. The more smart effort I put into my business, the more I will gain.

4. No stress of getting laid off at recession time

In these times, getting laid off suddenly is seen quite often. With or without reason, suddenly you are given a resignation letter the next day you reach your office. How does that feel like?

The world crashes down at that moment in front of you. You feel to be without work, and with little bank balance. You don’t know when you’ll be getting a new job.

However, if you have a small business to support you even when you were working at some office, the world won’t seem so doomed. You’ll be having something to support on, which now you can grow on your free time and build the dream you’ve been dreaming of.

5. Opportunities beyond Blogging

Finally, with blogging or as you may say owning a business comes the fame. Money is not the last thing after all. Every person, be it openly or deep into their heart, craves for a little fame.

And that comes with blogging. You can build a name for yourself and be famous in the Internet world. And, if your blog is really very popular, your name can even get published in print and magazines.

So, do you have a blog? Do you agree with the benefits of blogging mentioned above or think otherwise? Your comments are welcome.
