Using a Linksys WAG200G as an Access Point or Range Extender

Grab a computer or a laptop (any).

Connect it with your Linksys device with an Ethernet cable.

Launch a web browser.

Type http://extender.linksys.com into the address bar field.

Fill in the default username and password into the required fields of the displayed page.

Plug in your router into your computer or laptop.

Open an internet browser and go to Extender.linksys. Once done, hit on log in.

Change your settings

Firstly, you have to change the first drop down box to Bridge Mode Only.

Secondly, in the Network Setup menu, change the Router IP address to 192.168.1.2 or something similar.

Thirdly, change the Network Address Server Settings (DHCP) to "DHCP Relay" (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol ) and the IP (Internet Protocol) to your new router's IP address.

The router page will be displayed.

Unplug the Linksys WAG200G from your computer or laptop (anyone you are using) and plug it into the new WiFi router. 

Fab! You now have a new wireless range extender/access point.

Note: The default SSID (network name) would be "Linksys." So, it is recommended that you change it as soon as possible similar to your new WiFi router. In addition, you can also change the channel number similar to your new router.
