As a graphic designer we need to pay close attention to the changing trends of Graphic design. So, some of the major graphic design trends that we can expect to see in 2016.
1. Modern Retro: Modern retro style is cool and inspired by the 80s and 90s. Think about bold colors, pixel art, playful geometric designs and patterns. The technology theme also ties in nicely with modern-retro influences.

Material Design: You will see material designing as a trend that you’ll find on websites, apps, artwork, etc. Material Design and Flat Design have affected not only web and app, but also graphic design. Though Google created it for web and mobile, you’ll see material design principles popping up in all kinds of design formats.
3. Motion: When graphics are set in motion, then it becomes another element of the composition. Motion graphics are pieces of digital animation which create the illusion of motion and are usually combined with audio for use in multimedia projects.
