Major Benefits of using a smartwatch

I can not tell you how many times I've heard smartwatches described as a waste of money. However, those who claim this do not understand the capabilities of the wristwatch.

This message can be read by people from two different communities. Those who believe that money is a waste want to know more about their advantages and disadvantages before deciding whether to get smartwatches or not.

The biggest benefit of wearing a smartwatch

So, what makes a smartwatch affordable on a smartphone? Let’s take a look at some of the most attractive smartwatch applications that will convince you to switch.

1. They are not just timekeepers.

Most people like to wear a watch. The reason to wear it is utilitarian (it only tells the time) or stylish. A good watch looks great on one's wrist.

However, with the advent of smartphones, the popularity of timepieces is declining. Who needs a clock when your phone tells time, calendar, and alarm? This is a valid observation and explains why watch sales have declined in recent years.

But smartwatches buck the trend because they offer something different. They provide all these basic watch features but also do things that smartphones cannot do.

2. A travel companion attached to your wrist

James L., an analyst at Forrester Research. According to McQueen, the smartwatch:

For example, the Apple Watch can send different vibrations to your wrist to indicate whether you should turn right or left while following instructions. Instead of looking at your smartphone all the time, you can follow an invisible guide that tells you where to go. Instead of looking at a map, look up and see your surroundings.

3. Easy to spot phone, key, or gadget.

As you are well aware, losing a phone or keys is a frustrating situation. It always happens before the big event we can not delay!

Thankfully, the wristwatch can eliminate this uncomfortable situation.

Most of them offer the 'Find Phone' option. You can link it to your phone or any other device and ring through your watch whenever you want.

Have you lost your phone? Press a few buttons to find your watch in seconds.

4. They can be used as a fitness tracker.

Fitness monitoring is a standard function on many smartwatches. This will help you in reaching your fitness goals. So, if you are looking to get a fitness tracker or pedometer, a great smartwatch can replace it.

What can a smartwatch do? It can track your steps, distance, calories, heart rate, pulse rate, sleep, and above to calculate some additional important parameters. We recently rated the LQM EX1 Fitness Tracker and I believe a good smartwatch will bring you similar benefits.

Garmin watches are particularly powerful fitness-based gadgets, although most fitness trackers now have fitness monitoring functions because the technology is much cheaper to manufacture than ever before.

5. Reply to messages quickly and receive phone calls

If you have a smartwatch on your wrist you do not have to take your phone out of your pocket. You can receive messages on the go and reply to them. This can be very useful when you are exercising or if it is very uncomfortable to carry your phone.

Voice assistance is also available on some watches. Just like in Star Trek you can talk from your wrist and communicate with anyone hundreds of kilometers away!

Keep in mind that everything happens on a much smaller scale than on a smartphone, so the user experience is a bit tricky. For these tasks, the wristwatch will never replace the phone (at least not anytime soon), but it will be useful.

6. View your social media alerts

Who doesn’t want to see alerts on their wrists from Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Snapchat, and other social media platforms? This is something I usually opt out of, but for others, it is a 'must-have' attribute.

Some watches only display your messages and social media activity, while others allow you to connect with the app. I do not justify using it as your main tool for social media interaction, because it can be a little awkward, but it's great when you go out or do something.

Be careful when looking for a watch that can achieve this well. Many watchmakers claim that their watches are 'connected' in this way, but they have to prove it.

7. It keeps you connected to your phone for a long time.

If you already have a good smartphone why do you need a wristwatch, you may be wondering?

Because some smartwatches have batteries, the phone is too strong to compete.

8. Your entertainment is at your fingertips.

Suppose you set out for a walk and suddenly your friend had to watch a YouTube video that was tempted. You're just a few clicks away from watching YouTube on your wristwatch.

You can watch videos and listen to music on the go. It can never match the huge screen quality of your phone, but for those few moments, it was incomparable in terms of convenience.

9. It reminds you to take a break and breathe

Let’s be honest. Life is busy and it is very easy to get caught up in the rush to get everything done in 24 hours.

Traffic, tough owners, we forget to stop and breathe when dealing with things like arranging and exercising things for other people in our life, eating properly, and getting enough sleep.

Some smartwatches are pre-installed with apps that remind you to relax and breathe.

Is it worth investing in a smartwatch?

If you've never worn a watch like this before, I'm sure you're on the verge of convincing! What I can say from personal experience is that if you are a fan of mobility and ease of use, there is nothing better than a smartwatch to keep you “connected”.

If you are sold with the advantages, I’d advise you to check which smartwatch is right for you. The best is not always the perfect fit for everyone. Rather than that, identify your OS (operating system), check the specifications, and choose your one.
