Locking has significantly increased screen time. It takes a while before we see the screen as there is more workload and nowhere to go. If you are someone who starts and ends the night by looking at the phone/laptop screen, you may experience eye discomfort and eye strain in a short time. It may shock you to learn that the harmful blue light emitted by your smartphone can accelerate blindness.
But the good news is that there are many things you can do to improve your vision. Here is a list of 5 simple eye exercises you can do to improve your eyesight.
Palm
Palming is a simple exercise that relieves eye strain and improves vision. To exercise, rub your palms together to generate heat. Then gently put your palm over your eyes for a few seconds and repeat 5-7 times.
Roll your eyes
Rolling your eyes is another simple exercise you can do anytime. Start by rolling your eyes clockwise for a few minutes. Pause your eyes and turn them counterclockwise. Repeat 5 times.
Readjustment
Refocusing is an exercise you must perform while working non-stop on your laptop. From time to time, look away from the screen and focus on distant objects. Look at the palm of your hand and focus on a distant object. Repeat 5 times.
Blink
Blinking comes naturally to us. But for the blink practice, you need to have a blank wall in front of you. Close your eyes for 2 seconds, then quickly open and blink for 5 seconds. Repeat 5-7 times.
20-20-20 rules
While working on your computer or watching your favorite shows on your cell phone, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes.

Eating properly can also make a big difference in your eyesight. Eat a diet rich in antioxidants such as leafy vegetables, egg yolks, yellow peppers, sweet potatoes, zucchini and carrots. Yellow and green vegetables also help prevent the formation of macula, which can lead to blindness. Add fish or fish oil capsules to your diet to prevent cataract formation.
