When it comes to banners, it is not always a case of one shoe fits all. Banners come in different sizes and varieties, which means different quality and prices. It is important to know the different types that are available in the market before making your purchase. Here are the different types of banners.

The Different Types Of Banners

Paper Banners

As the name suggests, they are made of paper. Paper banners are one of the most aesthetic banners in the market as they come in very beautiful colors. They are very good for Trade shows as they really stand out. These banners are best used indoors; we all know what happens to paper when it rains. If you opt to use it outdoors, cross your fingers that it doesn't rain. https://ultimatebanners.co can help you with any of your needs and you can even learn about lots of things from their blog.

Vinyl Banners

These are the most popular types of banners. Vinyl Banners are printed on 13 OZ scrim vinyl that can go up to 30 feet. Those with 10 to 13 OZ should only be used indoors as they are not resistant to tear. 14 OZ can be used outdoors as they can withstand harsh weather conditions. They are usually quite heavy though, hence you should be prepared to get a good shipping company. Vinyl banners can have hems for reinforcement, but this is not always the case. At times it can go up to 50 feet without hems. They can be used both indoors and outdoors as they can withstand harsh weather. They are actually more durable than paper banners. printing them is, of course, more slightly more expensive than printing paper banners, but rightfully so, as they last longer. Vinyl is lightweight, hence it can easily be shipped from one location to another.

It has two finishes, the textured matte finishing that doesn't 't glow, and the glossy finish. Most clients prefer the matte finish. Ultimate Banners, however, suggest that you go for the glossy banner if you want it to be visible at night under the lights.

Mesh Banners

As the name suggests, they are made of a crisscrossed mesh of 10 OZ scrim vinyl. Mesh Vinyl have breathable holes to allow the wind to pass through, as this prevents tearing. It is definitely stronger and more expensive than Vinyl banners which, after extended usage, may get torn following wind resistance. Mesh Banners can go up to 60 feet without seams, but they have hems and grommets.

Canvas Banners

They can be mistaken for an art gallery, as every artist has a canvas to work on. They should strictly be used indoors as they cannot withstand, well, anything. They have sewn hems and grommets. Canvas banners are preferred by high end stores as they have an expensive artistic feel. They are typically not used long term, as they fade out with time. However, most of their users do not mind replacing them after a while.

Polyester Fabric Banners.

These banners are made from fabric. Polyester is a very aesthetic fabric as it is very bright and flamboyant. The fabric is usually dyed by sublimation, hence the dye doesn't just settle on the fabric, but goes through it. This means the colors can stay put pong term. this banner is actually suitable for both indoor and outdoor advertising. Clients however prefer to use it indoors. The biggest challenge is not colors, as you may assume, but wear and tear, if it comes to contact with an abrasive material. Polyester after all, is fabric.

All banners are good, it just depends on your need. Ultimate Banners believe that for each advertising need, there is a suitable banner, hence it is important to understand the different banners in the market, assess your budget and make informed purchases.
