26-Jul-2023Sure. The virtual DOM is a way of representing the DOM in memory. It is a lightweight, in-memory representation of the DOM tree that is used by React to track changes and update the DOM efficiently.
The virtual DOM is created by creating a JavaScript object for each DOM element. This object contains the element's properties, such as its tag name, class name, and text content. The virtual DOM is updated whenever the state of the application changes.
When the virtual DOM is updated, React compares the updated virtual DOM to the previous version of the virtual DOM. This comparison is called "diffing". The diffing algorithm identifies the parts of the virtual DOM that have changed and then updates the corresponding parts of the real DOM.
