Realme is planning a special launch event on December 20 to introduce two new handsets: the Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro. The Realme GT 2 name has now apparently been detected in the source code of the company's Indian website, ahead of any official confirmation from Realme. Separately, the Realme GT 2 Pro, the high-end variant of the rumoured new phones, is said to have a 150-degree ultra wide lens instead of a telephoto lens.

A well-known tipster in cooperation with 91Mobiles found the Realme GT 2 on the company's India website. Based on this, it's plausible to assume that the Realme GT 2 will be introduced as a new device in the Indian market. The debut of the Realme GT 2 in India, however, has yet to be verified by the company.

Realme has included a 150-degree extra wide lens in the Realme GT 2 Pro, according to the source. Dual back cameras are rumoured to be included in the device.

Realme has previously announced that a special event for the Realme GT 2 Series would be held on December 20. On Monday, at 9 a.m. GMT (2:30 p.m. IST), it will be broadcast live on Facebook and YouTube. However, the company hasn't said which products would be unveiled during the event. The Realme GT 2 Pro, on the other hand, is set to be a key feature of the event. 

Specifications

The specifications for Realme GT 2 Pro are expected to include a 6.8-inch WQHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. A triple back camera array, led by a 50-megapixel main sensor, is expected on the device. Furthermore, the Realme smartphone is expected to include up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, according to reports. The Realme GT 2 Pro has already leaked, and the device is expected to launch with a price tag of CNY 4,000.
