Drones Used for Transportation of Covid19 Vaccines in Remote Villages, Maharashtra

On Thursday, the Covid19 Vaccines have been transported with the help of a technical drone in Maharashtra. And the first batch of 300 vaccines was used in a trial and was transported from Jawhar to Zaap village.

The top official of the district administration of Palghar, Maharashtra said that they have carried out an experiment in which they used the drones to deliver the Covid19 vaccines in some of the remote villages which are situated in the rugged terrain.
Dr. Manik Gursal, the state district collecter said, the experiment is probably the first experiment of its kind in the state and it was carried out successfully with the help of the coordination including himself.
Citation in the report was such “As part of the exercise, a batch of 300 vaccines was transported from Jawahar to Zaap village. The task, which would have otherwise taken more than 40 minutes, was just complete in a little time in 9 minutes. The vaccines were delivered in the local Public Health Care Center”.
Further, the district health officer Dr. Dayananda Suryavanshi said that this could become possible with the help of private entities that came forward to help.
He added “ This will go a long way in the vaccination drives as the doses can now easily be sent to the doorsteps of those villagers, who find it difficult to reach the inoculation center. To some extent, it will also remove the misconceptions related to vaccination from the minds of people”.
