'Google' is celebrating this Winter solstice with the new image featured on its website showing the animated Hedgehog in the snow and it marked the beginning of the winter season.

The cold winter has been started in different parts of the world including India, everyone is celebrating it in their way. Google, the biggest Software Company is also celebrating it in its way. As it changed its doodle on the search page which shows the welcome ceremony of cold waves
21st of December is also known as the ‘Winter Solstice’, it’s the day when the daylight appears for the lowest time and the night period is the biggest one in the whole year and this night is also known as the Longest Night of the year. It will be held at 3:59 UTC (9.29 pm IST), it has been decided by the Norweigian site time.
Google has used the animation of Hedgehog in its doodle which welcomes users in the winter season across the world and clicking on the doodle brings users to search results around the world.

As per the site, the doodle is live and is available to see in different countries like India, Canada, Russia, The US, and the UK.
In many other cultures, this day is celebrated in a significant way and the people use their rituals to make it special. In the northern hemisphere, this day is celebrated as the starting of the winter season. In the culture of Ancient Rome, this was celebrated in the honor of the god Saturn, the god of agriculture whereas in the UK it is celebrated in the form of gathering and watching the Sunshine and Sunset together.
Solstice is a ‘Latin’ word that means stalled Sun. this process of Sun happened twice in a year once in the summer called the Summer Solstice and in winter called Winter Solstice.
