Galaxies Collision, Wonderful shots Clicked by NASA's Hubble
NASA’s Joint project, Hubble Space Telescope has recently launched some images of the space collision of the two galaxies.
The images that have been shared by NASA are proof of the collision of the two galaxies in the universe and the distance that has been recorded from the earth is about the 215 million light-years in the Pisces constellation.
Highlighted Points
- The Space Telescope Agency, Hubble is a Joint Project of NASA and ESA.
- The Hubble continuously has been capturing the images of the distant stars in the universe for almost 30 years.
- The Hubble will be succeeded by the James Web Space Telescope.

The images that have been revealed by NASA tell about the collision in two of the galaxies in space. The Information that NASA revealed tells the distance of these two galaxies is 215 million light-years and both the galaxies are looking to pugging each other but in the real aspect they are far apart. The Space agency has also revealed the name of the spiral galaxy as the NGC 105 to which its elongated neighbors seem to be touching its edge. The agency also commented on the subject as just “A circumstance of Perspective,” the images are captured by the Hubble Space Telescope agency, and the same agency has been working as the workhouse of NASA to research the mysteries of deep space.
NASA’s Comment
It said “This Week’s shows a spectacular cosmic duo of galaxies,” also added that the current picture appears more closely but, both are far distant from each other.
The NGC 105 was founded in 1884 by the French astronomer Edouard Stephen. Not much information is available of this galaxy elongated to its neighbors so far. The capturing of images, revealed by Hubble as they used “a vast collection of Hubble measurements examining nearby galaxies that contain two fascinating astronomical phenomena”.
Both the phenomena are Cepheid variables stars and also known as the Pulsating stars. This happened after the death of a big star. The above phenomena matter a lot to study the universe and also help to study the distance between two far objects in space and helps the scientist to study the expansion of the universe.
The Agency often used to share such images and in the recent last month, it has also released the image of the dazzling spiral galaxy named NCG 7529. The image showed a steller whirlpool with a yellow light that was concentrated at the center and spirals tinted blue.
Hubble Space Telescope
The agency is a joint project of NASA and ESA. The agency was launched in 1990 and has been working to study the activities of the universe since then. The reason, due to its unobstructed view of the universe, the Telescope has now has released so far 1.3 million observations and also released the capturing faraway galaxies. The agency also helped the astronomers in determining the age of the universe and to know the reason of expanding of the universe. It also keeps an eye on the Solar System.
