Twitter Allows Users to Flag Misleading Tweets to More Countries, Now Expanded
Twitter is expanding its feature which allows users to flag misleading tweets to more Countries and such features were introduced last year in August.
On Monday 17th January, Twitter has announced to expand its feature with the help of which people can mislead the tweet to many other countries like Brazil, Spain, And the Philippines.

In August, last year Twitter launched a new feature called pilot test as a part of the effort to reduce the publication of misinfor6mation to its platform. Twitter said on Monday, it will allow users to flag misleading information in many different countries like Brazil and South Korea.
Twitter recently revealed the information that since the time it started the feature it has received millions of reports from users who have used it to flag tweets which they believe violate its policies.
The social media company Twitter, launched last year a new programme called Birdwatch where people can create notes and write content concerning misleading Tweets, and these writings will be provided on different websites.
The begins of the feature in the United States and South Korea was formalized in such a way that whenever you {see any Tweet which seems to be misleading ‘A Button’ was visible to some users from the above region where the line “it's misleading” and after clicking in it “report tweet” was given. It also said the previous year about the feature “we were testing a feature for you to report. Tweets that seem misleading as “politics” and “others” when you will see them, the information was revealed with the help of tweet.

“We were assessing if this is an effective approach so we were starting small. We may not take action and can not respond to each report in the experiment, but your inputs will help us identify trends so that we can 9mprtove the speed and scale of our broader misinformation work.”
The giant social media websites as YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter are regularly in the fire from critics who say the company does not do enough to fight misinformation spread.
