NASA has released a photograph that depicts two dazzlingly bright light centres surrounded by what appear to be waves of gases released into the sky. The two lights, according to NASA, are newly found quasars that appear to be merging into one entity. Quasars are far-off objects that glow so brilliantly that they obliterate the galaxies in which they are found. They are propelled by a billion times more enormous black holes than our Sun. These enormous dynamos have long piqued the interest of astronomers. Quasars acquired their name because they looked like stars when they were initially discovered in the 1950s and 1960s, and they play a vital part in galaxy formation. They aren't, however, celebrities. They're still very brilliant, up to 1,000 times brighter than our own Milky Way galaxy. As a result, they are extremely active, emitting tremendous volumes of radiation over the electromagnetic spectrum.

The new pair of quasars were discovered by NASA scientists using the Hubble Space Telescope, which will be replaced by the James Webb Space Telescope soon. In NASA's photograph, the two lighting spots are separated by 10,000 light-years. However, when their galaxies collide, they will form a black hole that is much more huge. 'Using NASA Hubble, scientists have identified two quasars that appear to be merging into one entity. The quasars, which are light-emitting objects fueled by supermassive black holes, are thought to represent the centres of two huge colliding galaxies, according to the agency.

Scientists anticipate that examining these two quasars will provide insight into how galaxies and black holes interact. Understanding the early beginnings of the cosmos can also be aided by studying quasars.
