Spotify plans to clamp down on Covid-19 misinformation after singers complaint
Spotify said it is working to add an advisory warning to add any podcast on its platform that discusses any misinformation of the Covid-19 virus.
The App said that it will also release a content advisory that will restrict the people and specifically the podcast developers to post any Covid-19 related misinformation on the platform.

The Chief Executive Officer of Spotify Daniel Ek said that Spotify will add a content advisory to any podcast that includes the discussion about the Covid-19, after coming under fire from rock and folk legends for giving voice to misinformation related to the Covid-19 virus.
He also published a blog post on Tuesday that can be read as “the new effort to combat misinformation will roll out to countries around the world in the coming days,” also added, “to our knowledge this content advisory is first of its kind by a major podcast platform.”
In the concern with the matter also Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan of Britain expressed their concern to Spotify about the publishing of misinformation related to the Covid-19 virus and are committed to continuing to work with the company. Such a move by the world-known streaming platform Spotify has taken when famous singer-songwriters Neil Young and Joni Mitchell release an announcement regarding removing their songs from the platform the motive of such removal is the protest against the misinformation used to deliver by Spotify and it is airing the misinformation about the Covid-19 vaccines.

Earlier this month many scientists and health workers also have taken strong action against the Spotify platfotr6m and said that it should take strict action against Joe Rogan for delivering the misinformation regarding the Covid-19 vaccinations.
