The Crypto sector and its elements are garnering the majority of interest in India. The elements include Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) and Metaverse and the first show of NFTs in India has been launched on Beyondlife.club in which the wedding couples have made a debut in the marketplace.
The show was sponsored by CoinSwitch Kuber and the Digital Avatars couples were based in Tamil Nadu and had the backdrop of a Harry Potter theme. The father of the bride in the form of Avatars and the invitation copy were a part of the series.
The platform Beyondlife.club has released a press release stating as “the NFT featuring the virtual Avatars of the bride and the groom was purchased and resolved within nonseconds of the drop. A total of 50 copies were sold of the same at $10 (INR 750),” it also included “One of them was re-sold for $100 (INR 7479) within a second on GuardianLink.io’s secondary marketplace.”
The auction of NFT that is inspired by India’s first Metaverse Wedding has collected buzz around their upcoming wedding functions.
The tokenised weddings are now trading at a higher price that was first invited on a low amount. One of the invites of the wedding was sold for $10 (INR 750) and the current price at which it is being traded at $4,450 (INR 3 lakh).
The wedding couples have collaborated with TardiVerse which is a Metaverse startup and the object was to provide the facility in the celebration on the Polygon Blockchain.
Many famous stars including the Punjab singer Daler Mehndi also joined the Metaverse and also became the first Indian artist to perform on the Metaverse platform.
Music label T Series has also shown its interest in the platform of Metaverse and joined its partnership with Hungama Digital earlier this week.
India has shown its major concern over crypto technology and its spreading roots. Recently Nirmala Sitharaman has raised the concern and declared a Digital Rupee named currency in the Union Budget of 2022.
