Elon Musk’s brain chip start-up Neuralink has killed 15 monkeys in chip trials at the University of California between 2017 and 2020.
Neuralink Chips were implanted in monkeys by drilling holes into their skulls.

- The PCRM has filed a complaint of California University Davis and Elon Musk before the US Department of Agriculture.
- Neuralink was founded in 2016 to help people recover from serious brain injuries.
- Elon Musk accepted the accusation of killing monkeys but denied the bad treatment of the animals in the lab.
Now the technology wanted to go beyond our imagination and based on such a concept, Neuralink Chip was conceptualized to enter inside the brain of humans to control the mind and to treat multiple nervous diseases. Elon Musk started the project in 2016 with a positive aim to treat the human brain with Computer Technology by placing computer technology inside the human brain.
The easier it looks in actuality it is not, the experiment at California University Davis over the Neuralink has resulted in the death of 13 money out of 23 while inserting the Neuralink Chips inside their skulls.
The news came into the light when an animal rights group Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRMs)has filed a complaint against the University for killing 13 monkeys and violating the many statutes of the Animal Welfare Act. The group has read the 700 pages of the documentary, veterinary records, and necropsy reports via public records at the university.
The PCRMs Research Advocacy Director Jeremy Beckham said
“pretty much every single monkey that had had implants put in their head suffered from pretty debilitating health effects,” he added, “They were frankly maiming and killing animals.”
The report said about many tortures in monkeys involve the infection after drilling the skulls developed a bloody skin infection and another was the missing fingers and toes, some other unspecified trauma. Monkeys after surgery began uncontrollably vomiting after the surgery and days later appeared to collapse from exhaustion or fatigue,” the autopsy reports say monkeys have suffered a brain hemorrhage.
