Universal Music Group partnership with Curio to work on NFT fan collection
Universal Music Group (UMG) and Curio have signed a partnership under which both will work on the NFT fan collection featuring its record labels and artist.
The NFT projects will be launched by Universal Music Group from its record labels, artist, and operating companies.
Both the company are working on an NFT drop for March 2022.

Curio is the premium Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) platform for entertainment brands and music artists, is now signing a partnership with Universal Music Group in which both the companies will work on the NFT fan collection projects by featuring its record labels and artist. Under the deal, Curio will be becoming the global outlet for future official licensed NFT projects from UMGs record labels, operating companies, and recording artists worldwide.
Such assistance with the collaboration will provide the scalability and flexibility in producing real fan-oriented collectibles that will be carefully curated for each project.
Curio, at the first time when it was launched in 2020 gave its first NFT in 2021 February and from then onwards it has given almost 75,000 NFTs with the leading entertainment brands across music, films, television, and graphic novels.
Michael Nash, Executive Vice president of Universal Music Group said in a press conference “UMG and our labels are focused on developing NFT projects are authentically engage and speak into our artist’ fan bases and new audiences. With Curio, our labels will have a secure and dedicated platform to host this premium to projects and provide a new opportunity for collectors and fans from around the world to acquire unique pieces, inspired by their favorite artist and labels,” the digital strategy said in a press release.
Nash added
“UMG is focused on developing new opportunities in this space that place our artist and labels at the forefront working to ensure that the evolution of Web3 provides exciting new avenues for their creativity,” told in a press conference.
