Finally, Snapchat is allowing its users to change their user’s names on both photo and video sharing platforms. This update was waiting for by many of us and it is now available in both IOS and Android the functionality is going to start from 23 February.
The change in Snapchat is giving a huge relaxation for those who do not want to create a new account for changing their username in the application. The company also has given an assurance that changing the name won’t affect others’ Snapchat accounts, friend lists, Snap codes, Snap Scores, and memories.
The Snapchat users should also note that the new feature of changing their username can only be used once a year.
Steps to update the username in Snapchat
The user name of your profile in Snapchat can be changed by following some simple steps.
- In your Snapchat account tap the Bitmoji icon that will lead you to your profile screen.
- Select the settings option with a tap on the gear icon.
- Click in username and then tap the change username.
- Tap the continue pop-up button and enter the new username.
- Tap the next.
The update in the Snapchat Application will be available from 23 February for both IOS and Android.
