Universal music group said it is suspending its services and offices in Russia as a step taken by the company to protect Ukraine from Russia’s Invasion. With this action, the company has come in the group of technology companies that stopped their services and offices in Russia.
The international music group has announced the closing of its services and offices in Russia after Spotify last weakly stopped its services and closed its offices in Russia and described it as Moscow’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine.
Universal Music Group said “We urge an end to the violence in Ukraine as soon as possible,” said on Tuesdays. Adding more, it said, “We are adhering to international sanctions and along, with our employees and artists, have been working with groups from a range of countries (Including the US, UK, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Czech Republic, and Hungary) to support humanitarian relief efforts to bring urgent aid to refugees in the region.”
Russia’s action in Ukraine has faced criticism and heavy sanction after the unity attack of giant tech and international agencies over Russia, it continued its heavy shelling in Ukraine. Russia was also not presented in front of the United Nations Court in a case filed by the Ukraine officials.
