India's First 'Semicon Conference' inaugural will be held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate India’s first Semicon conference on April 29, 2022. The Conference will be held in Bangalore and it will be organised by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

As per the announcement made on Monday by the Electronics and Information Technology Minister, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first Semicon India 2022 Conference in Bangaluru on April 29. The press release reveals the vision of the conference that is focused on India’s Technology ability. The idea is to make India, the leader in electronic manufacturer semiconductor design, manufacturing, and innovation.
During the press release, Chandrasekhar said the PM’s vision is to make India a significant player in the field of the semiconductor value chain all over the world. He further stated, “first time in last 75 years-rapid decisive strides have been made in the space.”
His release further said “Semicon India 2022 conference will attract the best minds from across the world from the semiconductor industry, research, and academia and will act as a big step in fulfilling PM’s vision of making India a global hub for the electronic manufacturer and the semiconductor industry,” Press Release says.
The conference will be organised by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology From April 29 and will last until 3 May. The venue of the conference will be held at the Gardenia, Bengaluru around the theme of Design and manufacturer in India. In the world, India will manufacture the world’s highest semiconductor material and will bag the name of “semiconductor Nation.”
The conference will be joined by several famous names of India’s Tech Companies like Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra, Cadence CEO Anirudh Devgan, Indo-US venture partners founder Vinod Dham, SEMI President Ajit Manocha, Emeritus Stanford Professor Arogyaswami Paulraj.
