Spotify’s Premium Subscribers increased surprisingly and hit 182 million in the first quarter of 2022. The increases in the number of subscribers beat the analysts and their analysis, this quarter is expected to be the higher beneficial quarter due to advertising income and as more people subscribe to its premium service.
The platform has the high demanding shows that are running on the Spotify and the company also has bet big on Podcast, investing over a billion dollars in acquiring shows such as the “The Rogan Experience” where some other businessmen are in a bid to draw users to a growing non-music segment.
The company Spotify has revealed the share of the podcast in content consumption on its platform grew by double digits and reached an all-time high in the reported quarter.
