Google will turn 24: The History of being an Internet Search Engine
Google has become so much part of our everyday life that we end up searching things on Google with the hope of getting answers of every question that pops on our mind. Google is considered to be just a search engine, means it is a tool that display information on the internet based on any specific doubt. Well, it processes about 8.5 billion searches per day. Around 1.88 billion total websites on the internet have been estimated, till August 2021.

Google has been growing larger everyday beginning its origin as a search engine it has now grown to such that it owns YouTube and has established itself in the phone market itself.
Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin on September 4, 1998. The founders are one of the reasons behind its success of becoming one of the valuable companies in the world.
Well, Page and Brin had filed for Google’s initial public stock offerings on April 29, 2004 and later, in August the company went public in August of the same year.
Google had renamed its company as Alphabet in 2015, Google was made a subsidiary. Such a move was taken in order to avoid antitrust violations and to unite all the company’s acquisitions and services as a technology conglomerate.
As per Search Engine Journal, Page and Brin, the founder had decided to step down from their respective roles as CEO and President in 2019. Currently, the company's current CEO is Sundar Pichai, who have been selected on the basis of his hardworking nature, dedication and extra-ordinary skills.
Google has purchased YouTube for $1.65 billion in early October 2006. Well, Susan Wojcicki is the 16th employee of Google who has been appointed as the CEO of YouTube in June 2022.
According to Wired, in 2005 Google had acquired Android for about $50 million, it was the investment that is still paying off great. The Statista data had revealed that over 80% of smartphones in all over the world have been running as Android operating systems since the year 2014.
