Twitter asked its Employees to not Tweet anything about the Elon Musk Deal
As soon as Elon Musk’s notice to Twitter which states that he wants to get out of his $44 billion deal to buy the company, the employees have been strictly instructed not to publicly comment on the deal. According to memo by Twitter’s general counsel, Sean Edgett who have asked the staffs to “refrain it from Tweeting, Slacking, or sharing any kind of commentary about the merger agreement.”

The memo which was provided cities the fact that the merger is an ongoing legal matter that is still in process. Musk alleges that the company has “failed or refused to provide” appropriate information about the number of bots on its platform, which appeared to be the basis for Musk to pull out of the deal. However, it has been pointed out that the argument is pretty bogus, when the Musk’s team was keep on asking for more details about bots and spam. Although, Twitter was already providing the information but not always as quickly or in the way that Musk always asking for it.
On Friday, after the news that Elon Musk wanted to get out of the deal broke out publically, Twitter employees were noticed to make some great humorous tweets as quick as a cheetah about the situation. One of the employee tweeted that company had “unilaterally cancelled my mortgage” and they seemed quite happy about the fact that they don’t have to pay it anymore, in reference to the fact about the unclear situation of whether Musk can legally just say “nah” and walk away from the agreement. Another employee had made a tweet in reference to a staff trip to Disney which got canceled as a policy of cost-cutting measure immediately after the Musk deal was announced to the world.
Well, following Musk’s decision to pull him out of the deal, Twitter had announced that it would sue to make sure that the deal goes through according to the original agreement as required.
