WhatsApp has been recently rolling out the ability to shift the chats across platforms it can be possible from Android to iOS. This new feature is for the beta users who can now easy move their WhatsApp chats. As per a report, the roll out of the new feature comes out with an update of WhatsApp for Android beta 2.22.15.11.

The launch of the feature during the initial days was announced in the middle of June by Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of WhatsApp’s parent company Meta. Well, the announcement came after almost 10 months, when WhatsApp has first revealed its feature of transferring the chats across platforms at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event in August 2021. It can be expected that the update can easily reach out to more WhatsApp users by the coming few weeks.

As per an FAQ option on WhatsApp's official web site, users have to install the Move to iOS application on their Android phones in order to transfer information from an Android smartphone to an iPhone. The Android phone need to be in a running condition and it should be Android 5 or above with an Android version 2.22.7.74 or above. Well, in the case of iPhone as well the phone through which the users wish to transfer data must be in a running condition and need to be at least iOS 15.5.

After users have transferred the information from an Android smartphone to an iPhone the data would not get wipe out from the Android phone. The users would be given a choice of either they delete WhatsApp directly or reset the smartphone in order to let the data to get erased by reset. Therefore, it is necessary to note that as a part of transfer feature WhatsApp currently do not allow users to transfer WhatsApp call history or peer-to-peer payment history.
