1. One needs to create a new folder which would be used to keep the files into.
2. Then, right click on the same folder and go to ‘Properties’. Then, navigate to ‘Sharing’.
3. Once in the Sharing tab, click on ‘Share’. Now, from the drop down menu, choose ‘Everyone’ then Add. Keep on saving these settings by clicking ‘Share’ on the bottom of the dialog box.
4. Now, in the Sharing tab, open ‘Advanced Sharing’. Check the ‘Share this folder option’ and then grant all permissions to it.
5. Open System Settings, head towards ‘Network & Internet’ then, ‘Network & Sharing Center’.
6. At last in the top left, click on ‘Change advanced sharing settings’. Here, expand ‘All Networks’ and choose ‘Turn off password protected sharing’, use 128-bit encryption and then turn on ‘Public Folder Sharing’.

1. First, open the ‘Files’ app and head straight to the three dotted menu on top left of the screen.
2. Then tap on ‘Connect to Server’. Here, people are required to enter their PC IP address. After it would be done, opt for ‘Guest’.
3. By doing these, one is all set to transfer files between their Windows PC and iOS device.
4. Ideally, people would be able to see the folder that they shared on their PC and access the all-important files.
Hence, the initial setup would be a little jarring, but after an individual get the system up and running, they would be able to access the PC files on their iOS device effortlessly.
