TikTok gave Teaching Lesson to the Influencers about US Election Rules
TikTok has been taking additional measures to limit misinformation and violations of its policies ahead of the US mid-term elections. The video platform has announced new steps to confirm that the influencers have the understanding that paid political ads have been prohibited.

Following 2020 US election the company had admitted that it has been required to do more in order to make sure that the influencers have followed its rules.
November's elections would be able to look at several governor, Senate and congressional contests.
Over the coming weeks TikTok had mentioned that it would publish educational content and host briefings with influencers and advertising agencies 'so the rules of the road were clear when it came to paid content around elections.'
It had warned that if it discovered that political content was paid for and not properly disclosed, it would 'promptly be removed from the platform.'
TikTok has mentioned that longstanding policy to not permit paid political advertising, Ellen Judson was head of the Centre for the Analysis of Social Media at the think-tank Demos mentioned: 'It was sensible to look that TikTok was acknowledging enhancements may be created.'
But, she has mentioned that 'relying on educating influencers better regarding their rules was a poor substitute for consistently and proactively enchaning enforcement' and warned that 'political actors would spot and exploit that gap.'
However, TikTok's actions would go beyond paid content. All posts, whether paid for or not, should not be violating its policies.
Election misinformation, harassment would be including that directed towards election workers hateful behaviour and violent extremism was all banned.
Content needs to be fact-checked and also the company has been taking steps to limit the spread of posts during the process was under way.
TikTok had also declared that it would launch its election centre six weeks prior to in 2020. Well, the election centre aims to offer voters with authoritative data and different resources.
While announcing the new measures, Eric Han of TikTok has mentioned that it had been perpetually seeking to boost the 'safety and integrity of our platform at the time of elections.'
He mentioned that the firm would have a lot to share in the coming weeks along with 'further steps that we have been taking about the political accounts on TikTok.'
