WhatsApp had released the ability to look at the status updates within the chat list to some beta testers. The new feature has been rolled out with the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.22.18.17. Earlier the feature was under development. The new feature has been permitting users to click on a contact display image in the chat list to look at the status update. As per the report, the new feature would be disabled by muting all status updates.

Within the new beta version, WhatsApp had added the ability for users to look at status updates from their contacts in the chat list.

The Meta-owned messaging platform, WhatsApp would enable users to click on a contact's display image to directly take a look at their updates in their chat list. According to the report, the new feature would be disabled by muting all status updates in the WhatsApp for Android app. Well, this report states that the feature would be rolled out to more beta testers within the coming weeks. The above mentioned beta version would be expected to be released for iOS in the future. It official announcement of the release timeline for this feature has not been announced by WhatsApp yet. 

Previously, the instant messaging platform had released the WhatsApp Windows native app. Therefore, the company had released the beta version of the app for the Mac users as well. Though, the company had claimed that the app for Windows had been increasing the reliability and speed. WhatsApp has completely mentioned that it has been designed and optimized for desktop operating systems.

As per previous report, WhatsApp had been rolling out a beta version of the app for the Android along with the undo delete message feature. With this feature, the users would be able to recover the messages those were being deleted accidently easily.
