Less Annual Bonuses for the Twitter Employees
Twitter has been warning its employees that they may get only half of their annual bonuses amid economic uncertainty plaguing the company. Well, Twitter has been recently concerned about a legal feud to finish a $44 billion sale to Tesla founder Elon Musk. The company in an email to it's employees stated that it was completely the fault of its financial performances for the decision to cut down the bonuses.

Last month, Twitter had reported about a decline in its revenue for the very first time since 2020. Therefore, the company had reported second-quarter revenue of $1.18 billion, as compared with $1.19 billion last year.
In the email to its employees on Friday, Twitter's chief financial officer Ned Segal had mentioned that the money challenges would have an effect on the annual bonuses that they eventually receive, along with the bonus which has been currently at 50 percent of what it may be if the company would met its financial targets. Therefore, last year Elon Musk had offered to buy Twitter but it had backed out by claiming that the social media platform would have a higher ‘spam bots’ along with fake accounts than it had actually disclosed. Twitter had sued him to force to finish the acquisition. During a latest development Twitter has been ordered to immediately hand over the files from its former consumer product head to Musk on spam and bot accounts which he had cited in order to seek to abandon his acquisition. But Twitter was spared from manufacturing documents for many of its employees Musk has mentioned that were key witnesses on the bots issue.
Twitter had sued to make Elon Musk complete the deal, who has accused the company this month of hiding the names of employees who were specifically responsible for evaluating how much of the platform’s customer base was created from spam and robot accounts. He had asked the judge to force Twitter to identify them. Well, till Twitter has given up the names of “records custodians,” who were not as familiar with the data in question.
