Top Twitter Officials were Grilled over Whistleblower’s Claims by the Parliament Panel
A parliamentary panel had questioned prime Twitter officials over a whistle-blower's revelations on its India operations and provided them a dressing-down as their replies on problems of data security and privacy were “not satisfactory.”

The officials from the company had refuted the whistle-blower's allegations and had denied that there was any data security breach in India.
Top Twitter executives along with Senior Director (Public Policy) Samiran Gupta and Director (Public Policy) Shagufta Kamran have deposed before the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information and Technology which was chaired by the Senior Congress leader named Shashi Tharoor on Friday.
The panel had questioned them regarding the reports on former head of Twitter (security) Peiter Zatko's allegations the microblogging site which had knowingly allowed the Indian government to place its “agents” on the company payroll where they would had 'direct unsupervised availability to the company's systems and the user data.
As per the sources, the Twitter officials had denied that any of these things have happened.
Well, the members have even questioned the social media giant's officials if their data security policies were in sync with local policies and with the only international privacy policy.
They had asked how the micro-blogging site handles conflicts in national privacy policies of various countries, according to the sources the executives have not mentioned that they did not provide satisfactory replies.
A member has mentioned that they have even evaded questions regarding the data safety and privacy, by following these they were reprimanded by the MPs.
