Apple Started to Manufacture iPhone 14 in India
In India, Apple has already started to assemble the iPhone 14 models, which would be domestically manufacturing this lineup for the first time within the same year in the world’s second largest smartphone market. Well, the analysts had predicted a larger shift within the American giant’s future manufacturing.

The company’s world partner Foxconn has been producing the device within the Sriperumbudur facility which would be very close to Chennai. The domestically made iPhone units would be going on sale within the country later this year.
In 2017 itself Apple had started to assemble the smartphones in India locally. But till this year, the iPhone-maker has used the producing facilities in India in order to assemble older generation handsets. Well, Apple had already launched the iPhone 14 models earlier this month.
It has been expected by the analysts that Apple would flip India into a worldwide iPhone producing hub by 2025 because it has been slowly cutting down its reliance on China, the place where it has been manufacturing the overwhelming majority of its devices for over a decade. Within a report which was issued earlier this month, JP Morgan analysts had mentioned that Apple would move 5 percent of world iPhone 14 production to India by late 2022 and it would expand its manufacturing capability within the country to provide 25 percent of all iPhones by 2025.
In recent years, India has attracted investments from Apple producing partners Foxconn and Wistron by providing profitable subsidies as New Delhi moves towards making the country a manufacturing hub. The presence of the foreign production giants along with “ample labour resource and competitive labor prices,” would create India a fascinating location, as mentioned by JP Morgan analysts.
As there has been an expansion of Apple's local manufacturing capability in India, with which many could hope that it would create its handsets cheap within the country. The base iPhone 14 model which costs at $799 within the U.S., costs 79,900 Indian rupees ($980). Whereas the entry iPhone Pro Max model would costs around $1,717 in India as compared to its $1,099 sticker worth within the U.S.
Well, even Apple would command a little market share in India with which the iPhone-maker has broadened its investment within the country within the past 5 years. It had opened its online Apple Store within the country over two years ago and it has publicly shared that it has been working hard in order to launch its initial physical store within the nation.
