Starting price for the Mercedes-Benz EQE electric vehicle is $76,050.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS's sticker price at debut was quite a shock because it actually cost less than the S-Class sedan, its gasoline-powered counterpart. Mercedes has now released the price for the following EV in its lineup, but pricing parity isn't going with it.
Pricing for the electric vehicle EQE in 2023 was announced by Mercedes on Tuesday. It will start at $76,050 for a base EQE350 Plus Premium, which is nearly $20,000 more expensive than a base E-Class gas sedan. This price includes $1,150 in mandatory destination fees.
With a single electric motor mounted on the back axle, the EQE350 Plus trim can provide 391 pound-feet of torque and 288 horsepower. Its 90.6 kilowatt-hour battery can go 305 miles according to EPA estimates.
A good deal of equipment, including a surround-view camera, heated front seats, a motorised panoramic roof, Burmester audio, keyless entry, and 64-color ambient lighting, is included with the base $76,050 Premium trim.
When you upgrade to the $78,150 Exclusive trim, you'll also receive active ambient lighting, augmented reality turn-by-turn navigation, and extra driver assistance functions. The $81,650 Pinnacle trim, which is the top of the line, adds cooler headlamps, a head-up display, 100-watt USB-C charging, and four-zone climate control to the mix.
The EQE350 4Matic adds a second motor to the front axle, preserving its net 288 horsepower while increasing torque to 564 lb-ft, if rear-wheel drive isn't your thing. Each of the above costs will increase by $3,000 for this, which comes in the same three trims and has the same features.
The $87,050 EQE500 is the model at the top of the series. Although stronger engines produce a net 402 horsepower and 633 lb-ft, all-wheel drive is standard. If you choose the Exclusive trim, the cost will increase to $89,150, and the Pinnacle trim assumes the best-of-the-best position with a price of $92,650. This fall sees the launch of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE in all of its variations.
