Demand for 5G-capable devices would increase in India's tablet market in Q3 2022

PC market expanded by 22% quarter over quarter between July and September as demand for 5G-capable devices increased. According to CMR, the shipping of tablet PCs is expected to expand by a healthy 10-15% in 2022.
With a 28 percent market share during the quarter, Samsung led the industry. Lenovo and Apple came in second and third, with 26 and 19 percent of the market, respectively. According to CMR's Tablet PC Market Report Review for Q3, 2022, 'the India tablet market gained 22 percent quarter-over-quarter, with 5G-capable tablet shipments picking up steam in the lead-up to the festive season.'
Of all shipments in the Indian market, tablets with an 8-inch display made up 43% of the total. Recent 5G auctions and the start of the 5G era are what are driving this. In line with the market trends for 5G smartphones, 5G tablets are also growing 'Menka Kumari identified the source as CMR, Analyst-Industry Intelligence Group. With WiFi and 4G, the Samsung Tab A8 had a 25% market share, while the Tab A7 Lite had an 18% market share.
In the third quarter of 2022, Samsung shipments grew by 83 percent QoQ, according to the research. Due mostly to its commercial operations and retail market, Lenovo was ranked second overall in the region.
In terms of market share for tablets, Apple iPad 9 (Wi-Fi) and Apple iPad Air 2022 (Wi-Fi) respectively held 57 and 15 percent of the market. Apple iPad Pro 2021 (Wi-Fi) and Apple iPad Air 2022 (Wi-Fi) came in at 8 and 6 percent, respectively. Research indicates that in the third quarter of 2022, Apple iPad shipments increased by 26% QoQ.
