Spotify Updates Anchor App With 'Audio Enhancement' Feature for Podcast Recording.
- The Anchor app from Spotify now has a special section for podcasters.
- It is made to cut down on background noise when recording a podcast.
- During a recording, Anchor users can also turn the feature on and off.
On its Anchor app, the music and podcast streaming firm Spotify is introducing a special 'Enhance' button for voice isolation. The function, named 'Audio Enhancement,' is geared toward podcasters.
It is made to improve audio quality and enable podcasters to capture crystal-clear audio even when there is background noise. According to Spotify, this will do away with the need for pricey audio equipment to record a clear audio or podcast. It also says that the feature puts the user's voice front and centre by removing background noise.
Users may activate the new feature by touching a button in the Anchor app, the firm stated in a blog post announcing the launch of the feature. When recording in a noisy location, you can boost the audio by pressing the 'Enhance' button.
According to Spotify, you may toggle the feature on and off while the song is playing in the Anchor app. When you record it on the same track with the feature turned on and then off, you can compare the results.
Spotify isn't the first business to offer voice isolation; Google Meet and Zoom both offer comparable features that use AI to isolate voices without the need for pricey microphones. These functions come in handy when holding meetings in crowded spaces.
Spotify claims that the Audio Enhancement function for Anchor for Android and iOS is now available to all users for free. To enable the feature while recording, update to the most recent version of the app, then tap the magic wand icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. You can then turn it on/off as and when needed.
