With Material You-themed home screen widgets, Shazam for Android has been updated.
- On the Play Store, Shazam 13.7 for Android is now available.
- In Android 12 and 13, it has been revamped for Material You.
- Right from the Shazam widget, you may share a song.
The music identification software Shazam, which is owned by Apple, has released an update for Android users that adds support for new home screen widgets.
With the most recent version to Shazam 13.7 for Android, users may now rapidly recognise a song playing without launching the app. On Android 12 and Android 13, the new widget has a design that draws inspiration from Material You. The Play Store already has the update available for download.
The new Shazam widget for Android phones reportedly allows you to rapidly recognise a song without ever opening the app, according to a 9to5Google report. According to the research, you can even instantly identify a song using an alert in the notification section.
With a default size of 5 by 1, this new home screen widget can apparently be resized to 1 by 1. For phones running Android 12 and Android 13, it also supports 'Dynamic Color' support for theming based on your system's wallpaper. When the 11 widget is active, it will display as a moving circle. The widget is then updated to display the detected track's artwork.
After being recognised, users can share the outcome with other apps while also viewing the song, artist, and album artwork on the widget. Apple recently raised the cost of certain of its subscription services, including Apple Music and Apple TV+, in select countries, including the US and UK, but not India.
In the US, the cost of the single user plan has gone up from $9.99 per month (about Rs. 825) to $10.99 (roughly Rs. 908), while the cost of the family plan has gone up from $14.99 (roughly Rs. 1,226) to $16.99 (roughly Rs. 1,400) per month.
