According to reports, WhatsApp is beta-testing voice status updates for iOS.
- According to WhatsApp, users can share voice statuses up to 30 seconds long.
- Future iOS beta updates are anticipated to include the capability.
- End-to-end encryption will always be used for voice notes on WhatsApp.
iOS users will be able to send voice notes in their status updates thanks to a feature being developed for WhatsApp, the instant messaging service owned by Meta. In their WhatsApp status, users can currently only send images, videos, and links.
WhatsApp users on iOS, however, will apparently be able to post audio notes or voice snippets in addition to text in their app status updates once the new feature is released. The messaging service is reportedly testing the function on an iOS beta version in preparation for an imminent release.
Similar to what they can now do in a WhatsApp chat, iOS users of WhatsApp will be able to post a voice note of up to 30 seconds along with text in their status updates. The identical screen grab, which suggests the impending functionality and depicts a microphone symbol at the bottom of the text status, was also published by the publication.
Users of WhatsApp on iOS will have to record their voice using the microphone icon and then publish it as a status update. If necessary, they can even add text on it. It is important to note that only the individuals chosen in the privacy settings will receive the voice status updates.
Additionally, end-to-end encryption will always be used for these voice notes. This feature is reportedly being tested in the forthcoming WhatsApp beta for Android as well as iOS. Since this feature is currently being developed, it would be premature to make any statements at this time.
WhatsApp recently made WhatsApp Polls available to users on both iOS and Android. The 'Communities' feature, which enables users to have many groups under a single roof to facilitate group talks, and the 'Polls' function were both released at the same time.
Users can build group-based polls with the opportunity to cast votes using WhatsApp Polls. Both Facebook Messenger and Telegram currently allow you to add group polls.
