Twitter Blue will relaunch on December 2 with gold, grey, and blue check marks.
- Organizations will receive a gold check mark on Twitter, according to Elon Musk.
- Twitter accounts must be verified in order to receive a checkmark.
- On November 29, Elon Musk had previously intended to relaunch Twitter Blue.
Elon Musk announced on Friday that the debut of Twitter Blue, the firm's premium membership service for verification, is scheduled for December 2. According to a post from Elon Musk, Twitter will display a gold check for businesses, a grey check for the government, and a blue check for people (famous or not). Before the check is activated, he added, all verified accounts will be manually authenticated.
In response to a user's tweet apologising for the service's delay, Musk said the business would 'tentatively' start its verification service on December 2. According to Twitter's new owner, three different types of accounts will be distinguished by various coloured check marks.
All verified accounts will be manually authenticated before the check activates, including gold checks for businesses, grey checks for governments, and blue checks for people (famous or not). Politicians, celebrities, journalists, and other public individuals were the only ones whose accounts could receive the coveted blue check mark in the past.
To help Twitter increase revenue while Musk battles to keep advertisers, a membership option that is available to anyone willing to pay was launched earlier this month. Due to the proliferation of fraudulent accounts, Musk suspended Twitter's recently announced $8 (approximately Rs. 650) blue check subscription service.
