The introduction of Patna's high-speed 5G services was announced by Bharti Airtel on Monday. In addition to a few other limited sites, 5G services are currently available in the Patna Sahib Gurudwara, Patna Railway Station, Dak Bunglow, Maurya Lok, Bailey Road, Boring Road, City Centre Mall, and Patliputra Industrial Area. Airtel 5G Plus is available at high speed across the airport terminal for passengers travelling into and out of Patna.
Airtel will expand its network to make its services available throughout the city in due course. Customers will be able to access the services in phases as the company builds out its network and completes the rollout.
Other airports with Airtel 5G Plus include those in Bengaluru, Pune, Varanasi, and Nagpur's new terminal. 'I'm ecstatic to report the arrival of Airtel 5G Plus in Patna. Customers of Airtel can now access ultrafast networks with speeds up to 20–30 times faster than those of current 4G.
We are in the process of lighting up the entire city, giving our customers access to lightning-fast services like HD video streaming, gaming, multiple chat windows, instant photo uploads, and more 'Bharti Airtel's CEO for Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha, Anupam Arora, said.
With a variety of potent use cases over the past year, Airtel has shown the potential of 5G, which will transform both our personal and professional life. The fifth-generation (5G) mobile network is able to send massive amounts of data at extremely fast rates.
5G has an extremely low latency compared to 3G and 4G, which will improve user experiences across a variety of industries. Low latency refers to the ability to efficiently process a large number of data packets with little delay.
The introduction of 5G is also anticipated to advance remote data monitoring in industries like mining, manufacturing, telemedicine, and storage, among others. The four main players in the spectrum auction are Reliance Jio, Adani Group, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea. The Department of Telecom received bids from the recently finished auction totaling Rs. 1.50 lakh crore. The auction's revenue was initially projected to be between Rs. 80,000 and Rs. 90,000 crore.
