Launch of the Amazon Prime Gaming Service has been hinted at in India.
- In India, Amazon Prime Gaming presently only offers on mobile devices.
- Monthly promises of free PC games along with subscription services.
- Twitch Prime Service on Amazon has been renamed to Prime Gaming.
Amazon appears to be teasing the arrival of Prime Gaming in India, the company's subscription programme that comes with Prime membership and provides qualifying customers with free PC games each month, in-game content, and a variety of Twitch advantages.
India subscribers do not yet have access to the service, and deals for mobile gaming through Prime are exclusively available there. If the teaser that was initially displayed on the Amazon India website—and later taken down by the company—is any indication, that may soon change.
The e-commerce behemoth apparently just uploaded information regarding its Prime Gaming offering, with a banner picture indicating that the service was now live in India and guaranteeing free PC games to Prime members every month. Before Amazon removed the website, users instantly noticed the update.
Before it disappeared from the Amazon website, the notice read: 'With Prime Gaming (included with your Prime membership), unlock fast access to heaps of exclusive content for your games and a rotating library of PC titles... each and every month.' It's yet unknown whether Amazon really intends to provide the service in this location or if the promotional offer was a mistake. The Prime Gaming website currently identifies India as an eligible territory for 'mobile deals exclusively' and states that the service is not supported there.
The Amazon India website promotes Prime Gaming as a mobile-only service that offers free in-game content for both foreign and Indian mobile games on its Prime page. In addition to the free PC games, Prime Gaming is a rebranded version of Amazon's Twitch Prime programme, which grants one Twitch streamer a free subscription each month. In order to comply with a local pricing structure, Twitch membership costs were decreased in India and numerous other nations last year.
Currently, a one-month subscription costs Rs 110 on a web browser and Rs 120 through the phone app, and users receive a channel-specific badge and a variety of emotes to utilise. Although it is intended to go hand-in-hand with the free games each month, the now-deleted Prime Gaming page never addressed this feature. To get the things or vouchers, users must connect their Twitch accounts to the relevant sites, such as Battle.net.
