Today, the Pixel 7 phones get a VPN and call improvements.
- With Google's most recent feature drop, features for the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro that were promised at launch are now available.
- Google, once a small player in the smartphone industry, revealed its new goal of breaking into the fiercely competitive sector.
When Google announced many improvements for voice conversations and virtual private networks for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro during their launch, the time had finally come. Google stated during the launch of the Pixel 7 that consumers would receive premium features for free as they released a number of updates to the devices.
Owners of devices with the most recent update will have access to a VPN that is bundled with Google One memberships. Google would also unveil its most recent call-related function. Even in a noisy setting, the Clear Calling feature will lessen ambient noise and enhance the caller's speech.
Due to the Pixel 6's use of a different chipset that is incompatible with the newly introduced capabilities, this functionality will only be available on the 7 and 7 Pro devices. Clear Calling requires the capabilities of the Google Tensor G2 engine, thus it won't work with Pixel 6 models, according to Google spokesperson Matthew Flegal.
A line break for transcription modifications is now included in the Recorder programme, in addition to the two previously mentioned features: (1) speaker labels that automatically assign labels to many persons during recording; and (2) speaker labels. While the capabilities listed above are only accessible on Pixel 7 and 7 Pro devices, upgrades for the previous generation will also include new features like the ability to use Pixel Buds Pro for head tracking and spatial audio.
In January, this feature will be accessible. The new update also has organised security and privacy settings, where both options can be accessible from a single hub. Google will roll out Fitbit Premium's Sleep Profiles for Pixel Watch subscribers, along with a monthly sleep animal and new tiles for the weather and contacts.
Google claimed that the Pixel Watch would receive improvements in the future, including a fall detection capability that would identify the owner if they became unresponsive. Once the function has been activated, emergency services will be contacted.
Even though the Pixel 7 series has only recently hit the market, rumours for a forthcoming gadget, which may be the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, have already started to surface. Google is working on two new gadgets with the codenames 'Husky' and 'Shiba.' These devices will be made with Android 14's Upside Down Cake, according to the code sources that were made available, and they will have a brand-new internal Security Operations Center (SoC). Google and Samsung worked together to design the SoC, according to a claim from XDA-Developers.
