Rumors say, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 to get December 2022 Android security update.
- The One UI 5.0 update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 was recently released.
- On AT&T carriers, the December security fix is allegedly still available.
- In October, Samsung had made the Android-13-based One UI 5.0 announcement.
According to reports, the US will soon be receiving the December 2022 Android security patch for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. Users of the AT&T network are apparently able to access the most recent version, which purportedly resolves over 90 vulnerabilities. According to the source, additional US carriers should get the fix soon. The upgrade follows Samsung's November security patch, which was released following the distribution of One UI 5.0, which is based on Android 13, to compatible Galaxy smartphones.
SamMobile claims that Samsung's December update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is about 404 MB in size and patches 93 security flaws. The vulnerabilities linked to hijacking, disclosure of private information, and RCS call access have been fixed, according to Samsung's Android security alert.
If they haven't already gotten the OTA update, Galaxy Z Fold 4 customers in the US can go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to download the most recent fix for their device. Several eligible Samsung Galaxy smartphones, including the Note 20, S20, and S21 series, received the eagerly expected One UI 5.0 upgrade last month, which is based on Android 13.
The most recent OS release was originally made available on Samsung's flagship Galaxy S22 series. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 are Samsung's most recent foldable devices, and they had to wait for a stable version of the One UI 5.0.
At the Samsung Developer Conference in October, the tech giant unveiled the One UI 5.0, demonstrating a number of new features. These included a plethora of customization choices like specially created Modes and Routines, a dynamic lock screen, and a Bixby Text Call function for its voice assistant that allowed it to answer calls and communicate textual messages with the caller.
