Instagram Will Discontinue Live Shopping On March 16
As of the 16th of March. The live purchasing feature will no longer be available, according to a statement shared on Instagram, which is a platform for social networking. Because of this capability, users can tag objects in their live streams and then continue to purchase those products straight from the Instagram site.
Instagram will no longer provide access to this capability going forward.
"After March 16, 2023, you will have no ability to identify anything else in live streams on Instagram, independent of if you are watching the broadcast or taking part in it. This change will take effect for all parties. This modification will have an impact on other nations all across the globe. Because of this adjustment, we will be able to place a greater emphasis on the characteristics and features of our products that deliver the greatest value to our clientele based on a website that the company has created specifically for the purpose of assisting its clients.

In contrast, users will still be able to develop and manage their own shops while still working within the confines of the platform itself. This feature is not going to be altered. This result was a direct outcome of the company's objective to "invest in buying interactions for people and businesses through feed, stories, Reels, marketing, and more." This is the decision that was reached.
The company also mentioned that the modification in the architectural history of the platform would not have any impact whatsoever on other live broadcasting capabilities. These live broadcasting capabilities include the alternative to organizing a live stream, the ability to welcome viewers to join your live stream, and the potential to host live questions and answers.

The social media network has started implementing its plan to remove the shopping button from the bar area at the bottom of the screen, which it said it would do one month ago but has only started doing so today. This modification was carried out in line with the strategy it had presented the prior month before. This change will become active on the first of the month that is now underway.
The tab that allows users to post new articles will be relocated to a disadvantaged rank, and the Supermarket tab will be forced to replace by the Reels tab, which is already located in the most powerful place on the taskbar. Currently, the tab that allows users to compose new posts will remain in its current location. The button that allows users to create new articles will continue to be located in the same place for the time being. The button that, when clicked, grants users the power to write new articles will, for the time being, at least, continue to be situated in the same spot.
