IT company Tech Mahindra on Saturday blazoned the appointment of former Infosys chairman Mohit Joshi as MD and CEO designate, who'll take over the charge from C P Gurnani after his withdrawal on December 19 this time. The advertisement follows the abdication of Joshi from Infosys where he was head of the global fiscal services and healthcare and the software businesses, which included Finacle( Infosys' banking platform) and the artificial intelligence and robotization portfolio." Mohit will take over as MD and CEO when C P Gurnani retires on 19 December 2023.To give for enough transition time, he will join Tech Mahindra long before that date, the company stated in a statement.

Independently, Infosys in a non supervisory form said that Joshi has abnegated from the company .His last day of employment with the corporation would be June 9, 2023, and he would go on leave starting on March 11, 2023. Joshi will replace Gurnani who has been one of the longest serving principal superintendent officers of the Indian IT sector. Gurnani had joined Tech Mahindra in 2004 and latterly commanded the preemption of fiddle - ridden Satyam Computers and its junction with Tech Mahindra.Since June 2009, he has served as Tech Mahindra's MD and CEO.

Tech Mahindra Nomination and Remuneration Committee( NRC) speaker T N Manoharan said that Joshi's appointment is the successful capstone of a rigorous selection process during which the NRC estimated a number of insider and external crusadors ." Mohit's experience with digital evolution , new technological automative events  and large trade  deals will round the Tech Mahindra's strategies & plans continue to make on the strong growth instigation demonstrated by the company," he said. Joshi was in charge of the Infosys Knowledge Institute as well as the internal CIO function of the business.

He has been anon-executive director at Aviva Plc since 2020 and is a member of its threat & Governance and Nomination panels." Tech Mahindra's growth trip has been remarkable.
