Apple MacBook Air with OLED Display to Launch in Early 2024, Reportedly
OLED display panels for MacBooks have been rumoured for a time. A new analysis predicts that might happen soon. In early 2024, Apple may deliver the first MacBook with an OLED display screen, the new MacBook Air. The MacBook Pro will employ mini-LED panels while the MacBook Air uses OLED displays.
The next MacBook Air will reportedly employ "tandem stack" OLED technology, which is a type of OLED technology that improves display life span, battery efficiency, and brightness, according to a 9to5 Mac report. Nonetheless, it is said that mini-LED panels will continue to be used in MacBook Pro models for the foreseeable future.

Mini-LED is an alternative to OLED, which is superior in certain areas and less effective in others. Many claims that because OLED displays have far deeper black depths than mini-LED screens, they are referred to as them. This is because the light is generated by the pixels themselves. So, certain pixels can be fully disabled if they must be black.
According to Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, Apple will allegedly introduce the 11- and 12.9-inch OLED iPad Pro models together with a new 13.3-inch MacBook with an OLED display in 2024. Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst, also predicted that the firm will introduce OLED MacBook models "before the end of 2024."

According to reports, Apple is also working on new 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air models that will run on the next Apple M3 processor. The new gadgets are anticipated to be unveiled in June at the 2024 Global Developers Conference, but the company has not yet announced anything.
