FREE VOICE CALLS FROM JIO TO OTHERS
Reliance Jio announces good news for all their Jio users, the enormous telecom brand will once again make the domestic voice calls free of cost from this coming year after Interconnecting Usage Charges (IUC) on such co-operations ends. This will be a surprise as well as a gift this New Year 2021 for all the Jio users.
All connecting calls from Jio to any other networks in the country will be free from January 1, 2021, as Interconnect Usage Charge (IUC) regime ends, the network company said in a statement.
Off-net internal voice calls of Jio to any additional network, anywhere from the country, will be free of cost from this coming January 1, 2021. Presently, consumers are being credited for off-net voice calls due to this IUC management.
On-net national voice calls have always been free of cost on the Jio network, the company explained. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on September 2019, stretched the schedule for Execution of IUC on mobile-to-mobile calls from January 2020, following which Jio started crediting its customers for off-net voice calls, at a price accurately similar to the relevant IUC charge.
The Jio company said that it had pledged the users that the charges would be in force only until the telecom regulator abolishes IUC.
