Know more about the protest story and its characters
For months, Twitter is being bombarded with the farmers protest's controversies going around the world in which Popstar Rihanna, climate activist Greta Thunberg, and other International celebrities had tweeted in support of the protest whereas, Bollywood stars, cricketers, and the government are not linking the foreign interference.
Hashtags dispute
Washington Post journalist Karen Attiah tweeted about Dorsey's likes on Rihanna's tweets and demanded Twitter hashtags and emojis in favour of the protest like that of #BlackLivesMatter and #EndSars which was used for the historic International protests.
The other face of the story is that Sachin Tendulkar and the other Indian public figures who are against the involvement of foreign public personalities in the "domestic matter" are using hashtags like #IndiaTogether and #IndiaAgainstPropaganda to show the intolerance against the sovereignty of the country.
Indians claiming the intolerance have also got the support of Special Commissioner of Police (CP), Delhi Police.
As the special commissioner stated that "We haven't named anybody in the FIR, and it's only against the creators of the toolkit which is a matter of investigation & Delhi Police will be investigating that case."
"Preliminary inquiry has revealed that the toolkit in question appears to have been created by a pro-Khalistani Organisation 'Poetic Justice Foundation," he said. The FIR has been lodged under the Indian Penal Code's Sections 124A (sedition), 153A (promoting enmity), and 120B (criminal conspiracy).
However, Greta being ignorant of the outrage thrown by the Indians is found to be still on her track.
She tweeted, " I still #StandWithFarmers and support their peaceful protest. No amount of hate, threats, or violations of human rights will ever change that. #FarmersProtest."
