Twitter received hard defeat by Koo
Koo beats Twitter for being assumed as Rihanna's tweets supporter!
According to the sources, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and its other organizations have signed into Koo, a made-in-India alternative of microblogging platform Twitter.
The alternative constitutes verified handles of Ministry of Electronics and IT, MyGov, Digital India, India Post, NIC, NIELIT, SAMEER, Common Services Center, UMANG app, Digi Locker, NIXI, STPI, CDAC, and CMET have verified handles on the platform. The government decided to switch on Koo to show disappointment against Twitter for failing to comply with its orders on removing Khalistani and anti-India accounts.
According to sources, “The accounts ordered blocked are of Khalistani sympathizers, or those backed by Pakistan and operating from foreign territories. Many of the accounts are also automated bots that were used for sharing and amplifying misinformation and provocative contents on farmers protest.”
Also, it has been taking a note that the government might have noticedTwitter CEO Jack Dorsey'sactivity on ongoing farmer protest tweets. As reported earlier, Jack liked the tweets of Rihanna which were in favor of Farmer protest.
It has also recorded many other failures of twitter also like, recently the platform was asked to block accounts trending a hashtag accusing PM Modi of attempting farmer genocide on the app but the accused refused to do so. Indian Government's request of blocking accounts for giving rise to social violence when an already hard situation is on heads received disappointing refusal.
Thus, the unexpected behavior of Twitter led it to taste defeat in India.
